Despite the enthusiasm of some youngsters, we need you to be at least 18 years old before taking the skydive plunge.
Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that won’t restrict your movement. For your feet, we suggest sneakers or athletic shoes. Please avoid wearing anything loose-fitting or clothes with details that could get caught on equipment.
You’ve already conquered the first step: deciding to do it! Next, you’ll need to find a drop zone in your area or book a holiday to get your plunge done. Most drop zones offer tandem skydives, which means you’ll be jumping with an experienced instructor who can guide you through the process. If you’re steaming with enthusiasm after your tandem skydive, you can move on to more advanced training to become a licensed skydiver.
Yes, you can breathe during freefall, but the rush of wind can make it difficult to breathe normally. Your instructor will teach you the proper breathing techniques to use during freefall.
Absolutely! Skydiving is an experience you will want to relive again and again, so capturing it is essential. We can provide you with a video edited to music, including a pre-jump interview. Your instructor has worked super hard to introduce you to the world of skydiving, investing tens of thousands of dollars in training and equipment to get the skills they need. They are compensated for their jumps, but if you feel your instructor was especially good, you can show it with a tip. With iSkydive America, tipping is never expected but always appreciated.
When you take a tandem skydive, you are considered a student skydiver. As per the United States Parachute Association rules, student skydivers cannot jump with any kind of video or photography equipment. For the safety of you and your instructor, we follow these rules and do not permit unlicensed skydivers to bring a camera on their dive—not even a small format sports camera.
Your instructor or videographer may use these tools to record your jump for you. Rest assured your instructor has been trained to use these cameras while maintaining the proper safety procedures of a skydive.

There is an extra charge if you are over 200 pounds. The skydiving weight limit is 240 pounds. The weight limit includes all clothing you intend to wear on your jump and is measured with our scale.
Due to the higher price of fuel over the past year, all tandem jumpers will pay a $20 fuel surcharge. The surcharge will be added to the cost of your jump upon arrival.
All bookings are charged a $9 booking fee.
When you make a reservation, you will pay a $20 deposit. This deposit will be converted into your fuel surcharge when you arrive for your jump. Our no stress policy lets you get a refund for your deposit if you change or cancel your reservation at least 48 hours before your scheduled jump.
