iSkydive New York City operates out of Greenwood Lake Airport, 126 Airport Rd, West Milford, NJ 07480, about 41 miles from Manhattan. Plan on roughly an hour by car depending on traffic, longer on a summer weekend.
Yes. iSkydive New York City is one of the few tandem drop zones reachable by public transit from the city, using bus routes 196 or 197. Driving is still the faster option, but it’s a real alternative if you don’t have a car.
From altitude you’ll see forests and rolling hills, the Hudson River winding below, and the Manhattan skyline in the distance on clear days.
iSkydive New York City’s office and viewing area are built into a real retired aircraft parked at Greenwood Lake Airport, not a standard building. It doubles as the spot where friends and family watch jumps from the ground.
Yes. The dropzone sits across the river in West Milford, NJ, but it’s the closest tandem skydiving center to downtown Manhattan, which is why it’s positioned as the New York City location rather than under a New Jersey brand. iSkydive’s separate New Jersey location, near the Jersey Shore in Lakewood, is a different dropzone entirely.
Yes. iSkydive New York City runs dedicated birthday jump packages, with discounted rates for groups of 4 or more, plus a marriage proposal package, and the Manhattan skyline view gives both a memorable backdrop.
It can, more than at our year-round locations. iSkydive New York City operates seasonally, May through October, and closes for the winter due to cold and icing conditions. Even in season, delays can happen due to weather, air traffic control, or aircraft maintenance. We do our best to notify you at least two hours before your scheduled time, but sometimes changes happen last minute. We always build some buffer time into the 2 to 4 hour experience window.
Yes. There’s an extra fee for guests over 200 pounds, and the maximum weight limit is 240 pounds. All clothing and gear count toward total weight, and everyone is weighed on arrival. Weight and equipment limits are set by manufacturer specifications and FAA guidelines, not by iSkydive.
