Kurtz and Bishop are brother and sister, with Kurtz serving as the instructor on all jumps and Bishop as his tandem traveler. The attempt lasted just over 22.5 hours and involved the use of 3 airplanes, 4 parachutes and 4 pilots. This record may be attempted by one instructor with various students, one student with various instructors, or the same pair for the duration, as was the case with Kurtz and Bishop.
